Lavinia has led many workshops and educational activities in a variety of settings and institutions, both as one-off events and on an ongoing basis, for fellow illustrators as well as for people curious about understanding the mechanisms of creativity, following the general framework below.

“Creativity? You can learn it”
A workshop of creative exercises for anyone who wants to free their ideas. Through monotype, a hand-printing technique that allows you to “draw without knowing how to draw,” collage, watercolor, and other methods, participants overcome the fears that separate us from our creative side through collaboration, interaction, and play. The workshop proposes a way of developing images based on the unexpected and on surprise, allowing figures and stories—masks, trees, faces—to emerge “on their own.”

It is a method suitable for unlocking creativity in any discipline: visual arts, writing, music, and theatre. It is appropriate for both adults and younger audiences.

I have held my workshops at Inchiostro Festival, at Minotauro – Institute of Affective Codes, both in Padua and Milan for several years, at Bota Fogo studio for Illustration Ladies, in Spain at Castelo Studio, in Venice at Versatile and at Studio Foreste, in Verona at the Exodus Foundation, in Belluno in collaboration with Suuing Studio, and more.

The workshop usually takes different forms in each location or institution: simply contact Lavinia to organize the most suitable activity.
